FAQs
Weddings:
- How early do you start on our wedding day?
We like to start with the bride a couple of hours before the ceremony. This is a very exciting time when the bride and her maids are having their hair and make up done, though we shall endeavour not to intrude. It also allows us time to take detail photographs of the dress, flowers etc. - How late do you stay?
No set time, but usually until you sit down for your wedding breakfast. However if you would like us to stay later for something specific such as the speeches or the first dance, we suggest that you need to pre-book at least seventy five images in your album in view of the fact that we will take many more than that on the day. We would also appreciate a light bite to keep us going. - Can we buy more photographs after our wedding?
Of course! We are confident that you will like more photographs than you originally anticipated. As well as adding more photographs to your album at the design stage, we also supply a wide range of stylish parent’s album and frames. - How do family and friends choose and buy photographs?
There are two principle ways. First, with your wedding album you will receive a plan of the album with all the image-file numbers printed in so you or anybody else can simply contact us to request the image using the number in the plan.
Second, all your wedding photographs, not just those you selected for your album, can be displayed on-line for a limited time after you have received your album (Nobody sees the photographs before you). You will be given a password so that only people approved by you may view them. We can even design a ‘thank you’ card using a selection of your wedding photographs which will have the password printed inside. - How soon before the wedding should we book our complimentary pre-shoot?
Do not leave this too close to your wedding date. Once the wedding season gets underway it becomes increasingly difficult to find an available appointment time, especially if you are hoping for a weekend slot.
Portraits:
- What should we wear?
This depends what the photographs are for and the location. However, it should be your style. Denim looks cool and vibrant colours always look great. Avoid slogans and pictures on T-shirts which tend to date the image and can be a distraction on your finished photographs. We’re happy to spend some time with you before the shoot to help you to select a couple of appropriate outfits. - Can we use a hair and make-up artist on the shoot?
Yes. You can use your own or we can arrange for one to be present. Naturally they will have their own separate fee. - Our baby’s due soon, when should we book our baby’s first photographs?
There’s no time like the present. New-born babies are amazing. It’s a wonderful time to take photographs. Or how about some sensitive images of mum-to-be with that delicate ‘bump’.
With our Bump-to-Booties plan you can have a collection of images that show the change in your baby from new-born to those first steps.
