I know I keep saying it, but I love Manchester. There are photo opportunities at every turn.

Naturally we were delighted when we were recently commissioned by CSR Sustain to photograph architecture and cityscapes around Manchester. In particular they wanted to feature buildings they had Ben involved with for their portfolio and web-site.   CSR Sustain offer a portfolio of services designed to take the headache out of energy legislation compliance and increasing pressure to reduce carbon emissions in the work place. They provide a dedicated energy assessment solution to commercial landlords, local authorities, commercial letting agents and business owners across the UK.

Here is a handful of images of our great city...

“Fab course! Answered all my questions” said Helene.

June 19th saw our 3rd photography seminar hosted at  patissier, and what a fantastic day it was.

An all-girl class of varying ages arrived armed with cameras ready to have fun. The course was all about taking control and being creative – being bold.

Simply by knowing a little about how to control the camera beyond just clicking the button puts the photographer in the ‘driving seat’. You can know how to get those great images that previously were a lucky accident. In the morning we discussed some technical details about depth of field and composition. Then, after a delicious lunch laid on by Slattery's, the afternoon was spent enjoying taking photographs. We were given access to a cricket game providing a perfect chance to experiment with depth of field.
“I’ve had a great day!” said one of the girls.

Remember, take photographs of things YOU find interesting and be proud to show them off.

We’ll be planning another seminar soon, call Pam at Slattery’s on 0161 767 9303 to join the fun.
